Frequency value used in Lifewave Icewave PhotoTherapy Frequency Patch

The Lifewave Icewave Patch is a light therapy product that stimulates acupuncture points on the body for quick, drug-free pain relief, reduced inflammation and improved health. Icewave patches use similar technology to other Lifewave patches, but they reflect a different frequency of light, allowing the body to improve energy flow and produce pain relief. These patches consist of a white patch and a tan patch, and the patches are designed to be worn on either side of the body in the positions shown in the instructions for use.

The frequency of the Lifewave Icewave Light Therapy Frequency Patches is not specified by the company, but is related to the frequency of the infrared light they reflect, which is a type of electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength in the range of approximately 700 nm to 1 mm, corresponding to a frequency range of approximately 430 THz to 300 GHz, however, not all infrared light has the same effect on the body, and different wavelengths may have different biological responses. A study testing the effect of the Lifewave Icewave Light Therapy Frequency Patch on pain perception used an infrared spectrometer to measure the wavelength of light emitted by the patch and found that the peak wavelength of light emitted by the white patch was approximately 880 nm, corresponding to a frequency of approximately is 341 THz, while the peak wavelength of light emitted by the sepia patch is about 950 nm, corresponding to a frequency of about 316 THz. These wavelengths are also in the near-infrared region of the spectrum, which is also used in some medical applications such as photobiomodulation and low-level laser therapy.

Note that this study was sponsored by Lifewave and had a sample of only 10 participants, more independent and rigorous research is needed to verify the claims and mechanism of the Lifewave Icewave Light Therapy Frequency Patch and its effect on pain and inflammation relief.
